Application period opens at the opening of the Buyers Market of American Craft in February.

To Apply: 

• You MUST fill out an application form in order to be considered in the competition.
• Nominate your gallery, organization or self in up to two applicable categories.
• For “Top Retailer” and “Retailer of the Year” awards, please submit three photographs of your store (2 of the interior and 1 of the exterior).
• If you are a craft retailer applying for “Top Retailer” or “Retailer of the Year,”  enlist three of the artists you represent to fill out the reference form available here.  If three references aren’t received by midnight on June 6, 2012, your application WILL NOT be considered.

Eligibility:

• Galleries and retail stores must demonstrate a commitment to U.S. and Canadian artisans.
• At least 75 percent of gallery merchandise must be handmade by North American craft artists.
• Galleries of Honor and past winners: Galleries of Honor are galleries that have been inducted into our “Hall of Fame” for winning the title of “Retailer of the Year” twice.  These galleries are not eligible to win again in the “Retailer of the Year” category, but they may apply in any other category. This includes two-time winners from previous versions of the program (Top 100, Top 25).
• Past winners of the Top Retailer award may apply in any category.

Winners:

• Winners will be posted online at www.nichemagazine.com and will be identified in an upcoming edition of NICHE magazine. Applicants understand that by submitting photo images with an entry, they are granting permission for The Rosen Group and NICHE magazine to use those images online, in the magazine and in Top Retailer promotions.
